As 2011 comes to a close, I look back and think, ‘what a crazy year’. Wildfires destroyed hundreds of thousands of acres and homes, Nolan Ryan became the CEO of the Rangers, My family attended it’s first Rangers game, oh… and Texas Tech knocked off #3 Oklahoma at Oklahoma. Who saw that one coming? Big things happen each year and most are forgotten, so this year I encourage you to not only recognize those who succeed or those who act with selflessness, but to take a moment and say Thank you when it happens. Don’t put it off, do it then! If we all just took a moment to say Thank You, what a wonderful place this would be.
This year was my first feeble attempt at “Movember“, and It wasn’t until I met back up with Phil Hamiton, that I realized what a poor job I had done in growing a manly beard. I mean this guy’s beard is right up there with the building in Dubai that that Cruise guy fake jumps off of in that movie about something.. It’s what peanut butter is to jelly. I have seen the great pyramid at Chichen Itza and it’s not even close to being as cool as Phil’s beard. (alright, it was pretty darn cool but you get the point).
Not only can Phil Hamilton grow a great beard, but he can jam a little bit of rock & roll when he wants. Today’s video is a song called “Renegade Rock & Roll” performed by none other than the beard wearing rockster (who, by the way, was nominated for Texas Regional Radio’s Top New Male Vocalist in 2011) so sit back and enjoy. Should you need a larger dose of Phil’s lyrical medicine, I would suggest you click here.
